GLINTOS MINI-APP · TOOLS

Type with a swipe and a tap.
Practise here first.

A practice space for the joystick keyboard GlintOS uses on Maverick AI and AI Pro glasses. Type, correct and save three example fields with the temple touchpad.

What it is.

GlintOS types with a joystick keyboard: you move a highlight across the keys with swipes on the temple touchpad and tap to type. Notes and the fields on web pages use the same keyboard, so Keyboard is a quiet place to learn it first, on three saved fields: a multi-line Draft, an Email address and a Meeting title.

Type opens the keyboard with the saved text, Save stores your changes, and cancelling keeps the previous version. You meet each shortcut in context, and you can speak instead through your phone’s own speech recognizer. There is no account and no API key, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

What you get.

Three practice fields

Draft holds up to 2,000 characters on several lines. Email and Meeting title are single lines of up to 254 and 200.

Every key within reach

The letters, 123 and #+= layers reach every printable ASCII character, plus the euro and degree signs. An Edit layer moves the cursor, and Undo keeps your last 32 edits.

Shortcuts that save swipes

Press Shift twice quickly for caps lock, or Space twice after a word in Draft for a period.

Word completion, offline

In Draft and Meeting title, a muted English word ending appears after two letters, from a bundled 8,000-word list. Email stays literal.

An emoji picker

It opens on your 18 most-used emoji, browses the Unicode Emoji 18.0 categories, and searches by name.

Speak instead

Tap Mic, speak, check the transcript, then insert it at the cursor as one edit you can undo.

Two ways to move

The default 4-way mode changes rows with up and down swipes. “Left / right only” reaches every key with forward and back alone.

On your glasses.

01

Saved preview

The field name and a counter, such as DRAFT · 42 / 2000, up to four lines of saved text, and Type, Field, Clear and Back.

02

Joystick keyboard

A three-line text field above four rows of keys. The bottom row holds the layer keys, Space, Enter in Draft, Mic and Save.

03

Voice input

Listening shows your words as you speak. Review shows the full transcript with Insert, Retry and Cancel.

04

Discard changes?

Shown when you cancel after editing. Keep typing returns to the keys; Discard keeps the original text.

How you control it.

Keyboard gestures
Swipe forwardMoves to the next button or key. In the text field, moves the cursor; at the end, accepts the word ending shown.
Swipe backMoves to the previous button or key. In 4-way mode, up and down swipes change rows and reach the text field.
TapPresses the selected button or types the highlighted key. Field switches to the next example.
Long tapOn the app screen, goes Home, or starts the assistant if Long tap is set to Assistant. On a key, cancels the edit, asking first if the text changed.
VoiceTap Mic and speak, tap again to review, then choose Insert. There are no spoken commands.

Gestures come from the temple touchpad on Maverick AI and AI Pro glasses. An optional R08+ smart ring can send the same gestures from your finger.

Home and phone.

PHONE COMPANION APP

Under Apps > Keyboard, edit any field in a phone text box that saves automatically.

Edit on glasses opens the same field in the glasses keyboard. Phone editing is locked while it is open.

While you type on the glasses, the phone’s live preview offers a joystick pad.

Questions.

Can I type on Maverick AI smart glasses?

Yes, with GlintOS. Swipes on the temple touchpad move a highlight across the keys and a tap types. Notes and web page fields use the same keyboard.

Does Keyboard need an account, API key or internet?

No. Word completion and emoji are bundled, and no web service is called. Only optional voice input may go online.

Can I type with a smart ring?

Yes, an R08+ ring paired with your phone in touch mode. By default a slide up moves right, a slide down moves left, a tap types and a double tap deletes.

Is Keyboard an Everysight app?

No. It is part of GlintOS, an independent project not affiliated with or endorsed by Everysight.
