Privacy Policy.
What this website collects, why it does so, and the choices you have.
Browsing does not require an account. Google Analytics stays off unless you allow it. You can change that choice at any time using . Questions: [email protected].
1. Who we are and what this covers
This notice covers the public GlintOS website at glintos.app, its website analytics, and messages sent to the project. “GlintOS,” “we,” and “us” refer to the independent GlintOS project and the maintainers responsible for this website. Privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
GlintOS is an independent third-party developer community project. Everysight and the developers or manufacturers of Maverick AI and Maverick AI Pro glasses do not operate this website or provide its privacy support. See our independence disclaimer.
This is a website notice, not a description of all data processing in a future Android app. The public APK is planned for December 2026. App permissions, connected accounts, device features, and app-specific processing will need their own disclosures before release. The illustrative website previews do not access your glasses, microphone, camera, contacts, or Android accounts.
2. Information we process
- Website delivery and security. Your browser sends technical information needed to request a page, such as an IP address, requested address, browser information, request time, and connection information. Our hosting infrastructure and Cloudflare process technical information to deliver content, maintain security, diagnose problems, and prevent misuse.
- Your privacy choice. We store whether you allow analytics and when that choice expires in your browser’s local storage. This does not require a name or account.
- Optional analytics. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics processes information about visits and interactions, including page addresses and titles, referrers, approximate location, device/browser characteristics, timestamps, session information, and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. These identifiers are not the same as anonymous data.
- Messages you send. If you email us, we receive your email address, the content and attachments you provide, and related correspondence metadata. Please avoid sending passwords, SDK keys, access tokens, recordings, or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
This website has no account registration, checkout, newsletter signup, or glasses-data upload form. We do not ask you to enter payment information on it.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on your consent for optional analytics and related cookies. You may refuse or withdraw that consent without losing access to the website.
We process essential delivery, security, and diagnostic information for the legitimate interests of making the site available and protecting it from misuse. We process correspondence to respond to your request and maintain an appropriate record of it, based on legitimate interests, steps you request before a possible agreement, or legal obligations, as applicable. We may retain or disclose information when necessary to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Those interests remain subject to any applicable rights to object.
4. Google Analytics and your choice
We use Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-R8FEEQHRV4 to understand website traffic and improve the site. The Google tag is not loaded and no Google Analytics requests are sent by this website until you choose “Allow analytics.” Declining leaves the website usable.
After acceptance, analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Our tag limits their configured lifetime to 180 days and disables cookie-expiry renewal. The website’s configuration keeps advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization denied, and disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals. We do not use this website for targeted advertising or sell visitors’ personal information.
The tag is subject to Google’s own processing and controls. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Google also offers an Analytics browser opt-out add-on.
You can reopen from any page. Withdrawing consent clears accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the running tag. It stops future website analytics collection; it does not automatically delete data already received by Google. Contact us about a deletion request.
5. Browser storage
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
glintos.privacy-choice.v1 | Local storage remembering acceptance or refusal of analytics. | Choice valid for 180 days; can be changed or cleared sooner. |
_ga, _ga_* | Optional Google Analytics identifiers, only after acceptance. | Configured for up to 180 days; removed from this browser on withdrawal where accessible. |
Cloudflare may use security cookies when its security features require them. These are separate from optional Google Analytics. Browser cache and essential technical storage help deliver the site. You can clear browser data through your browser settings; doing so may cause the site to ask for your choice again. If local storage is unavailable, your choice may apply only to the current page visit.
6. Service providers and disclosures
Our website runs on the project’s hosting server and uses Cloudflare for network delivery, HTTPS, and security. Google receives analytics information only after you allow analytics. Our email provider processes messages sent to the project. These providers process data under their applicable terms, agreements, and privacy notices; see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
We do not send your website browsing data to Everysight as an app integration. If you follow an external link, the destination site receives the information normally involved in that request and applies its own policies. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and security, or to handle a legal claim. We do not publish private correspondence as part of routine support.
7. International processing
Cloudflare, Google, and email infrastructure may process information in countries other than yours, including outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, international transfers must use an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Provider information describes the mechanisms it uses. Contact [email protected] for information about safeguards relevant to your request.
8. How long information is kept
The browser-storage periods are described above. Security and diagnostic records are kept for the period needed to operate the site, investigate an incident, and satisfy applicable recordkeeping obligations. Server log rotation and provider retention controls apply separately.
Google Analytics event-level retention follows the property’s configured retention controls; aggregated reports may be retained differently. Cookie expiry does not by itself delete historical analytics records. Contact us for the current retention setting or to request deletion of information associated with an identifiable request.
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to address and document the request, handle related follow-up, or meet a legal obligation. Information needed for an unresolved security issue or legal claim may be retained longer. We do not promise a deletion period that overrides mandatory legal obligations or a provider’s independently applicable retention duties.
9. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy of personal information, and to object to certain processing. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Write to [email protected]. Describe the request and provide only the information reasonably needed to locate relevant records and verify your authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We may be unable to identify analytics records from a name alone; we will explain relevant limitations rather than request unnecessary sensitive information.
You may complain to your local data protection authority, including an authority in the EEA where applicable. Contacting us first is encouraged but is not a condition of exercising that right.
10. Security and children
We use measures such as HTTPS, limited website functionality, and restricted server access to help protect information. No network or storage system can guarantee complete security. Send suspected security or privacy issues to [email protected].
The website is intended for a general audience interested in developer software, not directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit children’s personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can assess and address it under applicable law.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes to optional processing may require a new consent choice. A website notice update does not itself grant consent or authorize unrelated uses of information.
