Now, in large type
A large temperature, the condition word, a matching colour illustration and Feels like.
One city’s temperature, sky and short forecast on your Maverick AI or AI Pro glasses. Free data, no account, no key.
Weather shows the conditions right now and a short forecast for one city on your Everysight Maverick AI or AI Pro glasses: a large temperature, the condition in words, such as Partly cloudy, a colour illustration and a Feels like reading. Below it, cards show the next hours or days, and one tap switches.
You choose the city once, by name, on Weather’s page in the GlintOS phone companion app. Weather never uses GPS. The data comes from Open-Meteo’s free public weather service, so there is no account and no key. The last forecast is saved on the phone, and a Home widget keeps it in view.
A large temperature, the condition word, a matching colour illustration and Feels like.
Up to five cards: hours in the place’s own local time, or days with a high and a low. Weather remembers your view.
Ten illustrations come with the app. Clear and partly cloudy hours after dark get moon pictures.
In bright light the pictures become plain white icons, and old data turns grey, so colour never carries meaning on its own.
After an hour or a failed update, the screen dims, shows the last reading’s time and the reason, and offers Retry.
Pick the unit on the phone. The shown numbers convert at once.
The city as title, the current reading on top, then up to five hour cards. Buttons: Back and Week.
The same reading over day cards, each with a weekday such as THU, a picture, the high and the low. The button becomes Today.
The main screen dimmed and grey, with As of and the time, a reason such as NO NETWORK or OLD DATA, and Retry.
Shown until you pick a city on Weather’s page in the GlintOS phone companion app.
With nothing saved: Weather is slow after 5 seconds without an answer, Weather unavailable after a failed update. Both offer Retry.
| Swipe forward | Moves focus to the next button: Back, Week or Today, and Retry when shown. |
|---|---|
| Swipe back | Moves focus to the previous button. |
| Tap | Presses the focused button: Week or Today switches views, Retry fetches a new forecast. |
| Long tap | Goes back Home. If Long tap is set to Assistant, it starts the assistant instead. |
| Voice | Optional. Say open weather; then week or tomorrow shows the days, other requests the hours. |
Gestures come from the temple touchpad on Maverick AI and AI Pro glasses. An optional R08+ smart ring can send the same gestures from your finger.
Small shows the city, its picture and the temperature, with the condition word when it fits. Medium adds up to three coming days, and Large adds Feels like and up to five. Without a city, the card reads Set a city.
The chosen place, the current reading and when it last updated.
City search by name, with results labelled by region and country.
°C and °F chips and a Refresh button.
Access switches for Internet and Images, Home widgets, Open on glasses and Clear data.
Weather uses no eye tracking, camera or microphone of its own.
The phone fetches the forecast and sends it to the glasses over Bluetooth.
Open-Meteo’s public service has no sign-in.
The service is free and needs no key, so there is nothing to enter.
Wi-Fi or mobile data, for forecasts and city search. Offline, the last saved forecast shows as stale.
Weather does not use location. Its Internet and Images switches in GlintOS stay on unless you turn them off.
Paired with the phone in touch mode, with Ring control and the GlintOS ring control accessibility service on, it sends the same gestures as the temple touchpad.
Weather needs no paid plan or subscription.
These rows are about Weather. GlintOS itself also needs internet on the phone the first time it connects to your glasses and about once a month after that, when the glasses’ security certificate is renewed.
No. Weather uses Open-Meteo’s free public service, with no account and no key. Open-Meteo keeps its own terms and limits.
No. You search for a city by name on the phone, and Weather never reads GPS.
Once the data is 15 minutes old: when GlintOS starts, when you open Weather, every 15 minutes while the glasses are connected, and after they reconnect. Data over an hour old is marked stale.
The last saved forecast stays, dimmed, with its time and the reason. With nothing saved, you see Weather unavailable and Retry.
