A test clip, ready now
A looping 10-second test card made by the GlintOS project. No setup, no network.
Cinema is a small video player for your Maverick AI or AI Pro glasses: a test clip, your phone’s camera, or an RTSP stream from your own IP camera, drone or PC.
Cinema shows video on the see-through display of Everysight Maverick AI and AI Pro glasses. Choose a bundled 10-second test clip, your phone’s back or front camera, an RTSP stream from a camera or server you run, or a live test pattern. Your phone does the video work, encoding the camera and re-encoding streams, and sends a small, silent picture to the glasses.
The camera view was designed with a magnifier or a rear view in mind. Cinema needs no account or API key and contacts no outside service. Only streams use the network, straight from your phone to the address you type in the GlintOS phone companion app.

The back or front camera at 304 × 224, with Flip and, when the camera reports a zoom range, Zoom.
An rtsp:// or rtsps:// stream over TCP or UDP from an IP camera, drone or PC, re-encoded on the phone to 400 × 224.
A stream that fails or stalls shows CONNECTING and is retried, up to 10 times in a row.
Picture size, frames per second, kbit/s and the link bitrate, under the picture.
From 20 to 100%, set on the phone. Lower lets more of the world show through.
A paged list: Sample clip, Phone camera, Stream (its host name, or SET ON PHONE), Live pattern and any saved clips.
Position and length, a progress rail, a PLAYING or PAUSED chip, and Pause, Start and Skip. Clips loop.
The live picture with a pulsing LIVE chip, the stats line and Pause, plus Flip and Zoom for the phone camera.
Cancel or Take over when another app shows video. Stream lost, Camera needs permission and Glasses disconnected offer Try again.
| Swipe forward | Next source row or player button. Pages turn with focus. |
|---|---|
| Swipe back | Previous row or button. |
| Tap | Plays the focused source, or presses the focused button such as Pause, Skip, Flip or Try again. |
| Long tap | Closes the video, or goes Home from the list. If Long tap is set to Assistant, it starts the assistant instead. |
| Voice | Optional, through the GlintOS assistant when available: ask for the camera, the stream or stop. Anything else plays the test clip. |
Gestures come from the temple touchpad on Maverick AI and AI Pro glasses. An optional R08+ smart ring can send the same gestures from your finger.
Status and stats, Pause or Play and Stop, Watch buttons for each built-in source, and back and front camera chips.
The only place to enter an RTSP address: a field with TCP and UDP chips and Play stream, which saves and starts it.
A brightness slider and any saved clips. Starting anything here opens Cinema on the glasses first.
Connected and ready. Eye tracking and the glasses camera are not used.
The phone encodes the camera picture and re-encodes streams.
No sign-in. You type only a stream address, if you want a stream.
Nothing to enter, and no GlintOS or third-party service is contacted.
Your phone must reach the stream’s host. The test clip and phone camera work offline.
GlintOS asks the first time you start Phone camera. Cinema’s Video, Phone camera and Internet switches are on by default.
For streams only: an IP camera, drone or RTSP server.
No subscription or fee.
These rows are about Cinema. GlintOS itself also needs internet on the phone the first time it connects to your glasses and about once a month after that, when the glasses’ security certificate is renewed.
Yes, with GlintOS and its Cinema mini-app on an Android phone. It plays a test clip, your phone’s camera or an RTSP stream from a source you run, small and silent.
No. Cinema contacts no video service. It plays its test clip, your phone camera, your own RTSP stream and clip files already in its storage.
No account and no API key. A network connection is needed only for streams.
Cinema was designed with that in mind. Pick Phone camera, point or mount the phone, and the glasses show its camera live. It is not yet verified on real glasses.
Type its rtsp:// address on Cinema’s page in the GlintOS phone companion app, choose TCP or UDP and tap Play stream. Cinema opens on the glasses and reconnects if the stream drops.
